It is that time of year. It is the time of year when I see elementary music educators posting amazing photos of their classrooms. The time of year when we are posting to each other questions about curriculum, how to store boomwhackers and ukuleles, compare schedules, ask about classroom management, favorite teaching tools, and so much more!
It is the time of year when we giggle at these types of memes:
And when we need great reminders from this great man, Gerry Brooks:
Cleaning the Orff Instruments:
For me, it is that time of year that I need to clean the instruments. For my Orff instruments, I have cleaned them in various ways over the past years. However, when I came across Amy’s blog, Treble in the Classroom, I decided to try out her method. I was very pleased with the results. I will not even show you my before pictures, but they were similar to Amy’s dust bunny pictures. My Orff instruments look beautiful! I posted Amy’s site last year, but it needs to be posted again as her method of cleaning Orff instruments is perfect!
You can find Amy’s blog here. The pictures are worth a thousand words in this particular post. Thank you Amy!
