Hello all,
I’m writing this between our Jazz Ensemble Performance this morning, brass music dept. auditions, and an away football game tonight! This semester has surely been a busy one for me and I wanted to share some opportunities for me to meet up with some of the readership of MusTech.Net over the next few months:
Disney World in October
If you live near Orlando FL, I will be taking the Grove City College Jazz Ensemble and Marching Band down there next week for a couple of Disney World performances – please come join us if you are near Orlando and be sure to let me know you are coming (twitter.com/pisanojm, Google+, or contact me here!):
Friday, October 21st: Downtown Disney at the Waterfront Stage at 4:00 p.m. (free access) – G.C.C. Jazz Ensemble
Saturday, October 22nd: Magic Kingdom Parade at 2:30 p.m. through the park (park admission required)
Beaver County High School Honors Band Conductor in November
Thursday, November 3rd: Beaver County Honors band held at Ambridge Area High School in Ambridge, PA at 7:00 p.m. – If you live in or near Beaver County PA, please join us for this concert!
PA District II Music Professional Development Day in November
Saturday, November 19th: Pennsylvania District III Music Professional Development Day in November held at Allegheny Clarion High School. If you are a PA District III teacher please plan on attending!
Keynote title: Music Education and 21st Century Skills –Music is the key to producing students ready for a productive life in the 21st century
Second session title: iPads, computer tablets, and software available today for use inside the music classroom.
Jazz at Grove City in December
December 9th: The amazing and award winning Grove City College Jazz Ensembles will be in concert at the Pew Fine Arts Center at 8:00 p.m. Free Parking, Free Admission, and one INCREDIBLE JAZZ EXPERIENCE!
This is our annual Winter Concert featuring the Stage Band, Jazz Ensemble, and G.C. Singers. It will feature both incredible jazz standards and pop tunes as well as a host of Holiday music! …I’ll be the guy conducting in Red and Green. :)
The Midwest Clinic in December
December 14-17th: The Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic – You will likely find me at the C.L. Barnhouse booth demonstrating our new and FANTASTIC music application for the iPad/iPhone: A.P.S. MusicMaster Pro.

Jazz Education Network and TI:ME Conference in January (2012)
January 4-7th: JEN and TI:ME in Louisville, KY – I will be presenting a couple of sessions at the conference and attending a number of TI:ME meetings. If you haven’t checked out (or joined) JEN or TI:ME yet, I strongly encourage you to spend the time looking over them and to consider membership -they are both amazing music organizations.
I hope to catch up with a number of you at these events -friends, acquaintances, Web 2.0 buddies, and to meet new folks as well. I will post materials related to my clinics right here at MusTech.Net. Keep an eye out for them.
