Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m pleased to announce that I will be serving as an adjunct-summer-faculty member at Valley Forge Christian College (VFCC). I am hopeful that many of you will consider enrolling for this opportunity to study with me and receive accredited Graduate Credits and/or part of your TI:ME Music Technology Teacher’s Certification. The great thing about this course is that it will be offered completely ONLINE!
This summer I will be offering a TI:ME level 2 course at VFCC. I will be teaching the TI:ME 2c: Integrating Technology into the Music Curriculum course. Any of you that follow me on MusTech.Net, or Twitter, or have been to be clinic presentations know that this is one of my specialty areas. I am very excited to be able to offer this through FVCC in a new online format so that ANYONE, ANYWHERE may have the opportunity to take this course with me. This course is listed as a level 500 (graduate) course in the FVCC curriculum.
For those un-familiar with TI:ME music teacher certification process, you can find out about the two levels of certification direct from the TI:ME site -choose “certification” from the Professional Development sidebar.
Basically, the certifications are as follows:
Level 1 Certification Procedures:
Complete TI:ME 1A and TI:ME 1B courses at any authorized TI:ME site.
Submit the TI:ME Level 1 Registration & Certification Form
Level 2 Certification Procedures:
Since the Summer of 2002, there have been two paths to TI:ME Level 2 Certification.
Complete TI:ME Level 1 certification then a TI:ME 2A course, a TI:ME 2B course, and TI:ME 2C.
Complete five Level 2 courses including at least one TI:ME 2A course, one TI:ME 2B course, and the TI:ME 2C course at any authorized TI:ME site.

I just might have to take you up on this one. For as much as I’ve done over the years with music tech, I’ve never gone through the motions to get TI:ME certified. Given the fact that I’m in my 2nd year teaching at a cyber charter and obviously becoming firmly immersed in the cutting edge, it’s probably about time to make that cert. happen.
I would love to take it, but I’m at a conference that week! So sorry!
