Teaching Ideas: This software allows you to teach students about the fine art of DJ’ing and live audio track mixing/playing.  Using this software you are able to introduce concepts like beat matching, pitch matching, and tempo matching.  This is easily accomplished due to the innovative controls and usage of audio waveform analyzers for each track.  Your students will love this software if not for anything else than the cool factor it will bring to their parties (No, I’m not going into a copyright de-briefing at this point!).  The software is open-source.

Joseph M. Pisano, Ph.D. is an industry innovator, education clinician and lecturer, trumpeter and conductor, and the creator of many education websites. He is currently the Vice President of Innovation and Engagement at Keystone Ridge Designs, Inc.
