Hello all,

          I just came back from Duck, NC after a 9 day vacation and I feel great!  It was over 100 degrees (F) for a couple of days but then it settled into the mid-eighties.   It was great not to worry about anything technology, administrative, or music-career-related for awhile.  

          I will be catching up on the ME Blogger campaign and a number of emails over the next few days, so keep your eye on MusTech.net for a number of posts.   Hoping all of you music educators have a great AND relaxing summer!

It’s time for another ME Blogger update.  I will be creating a compiled NEW MAY OPML File of all the bloggers by the end of next week.  Please look for it.  Ladies and Gentlemen, we are one blogger away from Fifty!.

Joel over at http://www.soyouwanttoteach.com/ and I have been talking about starting a Music Education Blog Carnival for months now.   I have to say that, we are looking forward to starting this.  I am penciling in the date June 1st to start this among the ME Bloggers and any others that would like to take part in this.  Stay tuned for more information in the upcoming weeks.

Although not nearly as robust as WordPress, Tumblr is a great way to get people blogging and useful for quick informational updating.   It’s easy to use interface is the most simple that I’ve seen and you can be “tumbling” or create a “tumblog” in literally minutes.

I created a Tumblr Blog and had it integrated with WordPress (This site) in under 15 minutes.   Check it out and see what uses you might have for it.

Let me know what you think of tumblr… I don’t know of anything like this that is easier to implement or use.  Maybe you all have similar sites that you use and know of like Tumblr.
