I’ve created a ten minute tutorial to help you understand the very versatile feed-reader, BlogBridge. This tutorial covers the following topics:
- Adding RSS feeds
- Sorting Articles
- Importing an OPML feed
- Exporting an OPML feed
- Creating a smart feed
- Changing View Sizes

I highly recommend blogbridge to become your favorite RSS reader. It is free, open source, cross-platform and extremely powerful. If you are not using a feed reader currently, it’s a great program to begin with.
I’ve uploaded two files to my eSnips folder. This folder can be found here:

AVI BlogBridge Tutorial Info:
The AVI file, although smaller in size is of a much better quality. This file can be downloaded by clicking this link.
Flash BlogBridge Tutorial Info:
To view the flash file online, without downloading it, click this link. The flash tutorial is not quite the quality as the AVI one, but it is still passable. You may also download the flash tutorial by clicking this link.

Well…if your a Microsoft Vista fan, that answers to some of your computer problems may be coming to an end on Monday. Microsoft is set to release the LONG awaited SP1 on Monday, February 4th.
If you’ve been following along here at mustech.net you know that I upgraded to Vista on one of my machines the week it became available to the public. To check out the “play by play” of my installation of Microsoft Windows Vista click this link:
http://www.mustech.net/2007/02/vista-premium-installation-the-play-by-play/
I also wrote about my top 5 Vista gadgets for musicians back in February. To see this post click this link:

In the end the Vista experience on my “trial” system was filled a lot of “grief” and a lot of “cool experiences”typical of a major O/S upgrade. My biggest problems with Vista were these:
- major issues with bluetooth devices and finding a bluetooth “stack” that worked
- major issues with video that caused me to purchase a “Vista” ready video card
- major issues with computer speed (virtual memory issues -not cpu) that caused me to upgrade from 1.5 gigabytes of ram to 4 gigabytes of ram
- lack of 3rd party drivers for existing hardware including my scanner, webcam, pci video capture cards, and sound cards

Ken asked me a great question about using the new ME Blogger Logos in the sidebar of a WordPress.com site. Although it is easy to post a graphic in a regular post by using the upload featureof a WordPress post, posting a graphic in the sidebar is a little bit trickier.
This post will feature a step-by-step graphic tutorial of how do accomplish this using any standard (free) WordPress.com site. In addition, I will include specific information for posting the ME Graphic in your sidebar while having it reference back to the 100-ME-Blogger Informational page located on this site. I will also start a thread in the forums (ME HELP) to work with anyone who is having any problems following the tutorial.
Note: This is a LARGE post and you should print this if you are going to work through the following tutorial.
Part 1, Uploading the graphic file to your WordPress.com server
Step 1: PREPARE
Make sure you have downloaded the logo(s) you would like to use in your sidebar to your (local) computer (put them on your desktop or in your pictures folder so you remember where they are). In the case of the ME bloggers, you can find these pictures here:
http://www.esnips.com/web/mebloggers
Step 2: Log into your WordPress.com account and click on the Write Tab

Step 3: Create a “Dummy” picture holder post
Once your in the WRITE location, choose “Write Post” and create a new POST called: Upload Picts (Do Not Post). Make sure you put the (Do Not Post) after the Picts so that later on you will remember not to post this. You will be able to use this one “Dummy” post in the future to continue to upload pictures that will not be used in an actual post but may be useful in other instances such as using in your sidebar.

I’ve come across a number of search engines over the years, and I’m still by far a GOOGLE fan… but this one, Pagebull, is worth looking into and I find myself using it more and more for certain types of searches. It is fast (if you have broadband) and returns relevant results. The difference, it returns snapshots of each page it returns. You can choose how you like the grid of results returned based on your resolution, etc.
Here’s a screenshot for the search for “joseph pisano”:
