Spamhaus is pretty aggressive. I’ve had to remove a number of clients from their list that aren’t doing anything bad… That being said, I’m glad we have organizations like them because I couldn’t imagine how much SPAM would get through if we didn’t!

Just one reservation: my comment on one blog was refused “because your IP address is listed as having recently sent spam”, which seemed unlikely. On following a link for further information, it turned out that Spamhaus had blacklisted the entire 3 network, with an angrily worded comment on their site saying that 3 had become “a major conduit” for spam.

On the other hand, that’s only happened once and it seems a very good deal, so I’ll probably still go with it.

They have a number of providers listed at approx. £10.00:

02 at £9.79 at 7.2Mb speed and 3Gb limit
Vodafone at £10.00 at 7.2Mb speed ad 3Gb limit and a number of
others.

There best current deal is from 3(three-broadband)and only a limited time… 3.6Mb speed and 15Gb limit for only £15.00 (normally £30.00)

I’m currently trying out mobile broadband via another provider, usning a borrowed dongle to see how it goes. It’s a PAYG one which gives me 1 GB for £10, to be used within 30 days. I believe the contract version would give me 8 GB for the same price. I think 8 GB would be adequate; 1 GB per month is low enough to need some care not to go over.
