Only 31 days to go until the official end of the ME Blogger Campaign. It’s been long and hard, but definitely worth it. The number of folks blogging about music education has exploded since my challenge went out -not quite a year ago to the day. I’m very excited to see where this will go in the years to come.
Joel has become the first ever “Music Education Blogger” Historian. You can find his well done list about the work of the seminal Music Education Bloggers here: http://www.soyouwanttoteach.com/a-partial-timeline-of-music-education-blogging/
I think people will look back and find out that it was us, “the few the proud” the ME bloggers, that started an online revolution about sharing “good”, “accurate”, and “better” knowledge about our music profession and music in general -freely, with anyone with an Internet connection. I’m sure of it! -as the Internet searches already are showing the results of our labours in their various, and many, search result sections!
Now, there are only 5 spots left to become immortalized (well..not really!) as one of the 1st 100 OFFICIAL Music Education Bloggers. Don’t wait to let me know about your Music Education realated Web site. Contact me today either by commenting here or in our contact section above.

I love that within the 100 bloggers just about every aspect of music education is covered - whether it be individual teachers in private studios, K-12 band and choir teachers and their programs, college professors, and even ‘for profit’ music facilities like DSM and MusickEd.com. And we all have a voice! I am proud to be a member and I can’t think of anywhere else in our industry that we each have the chance to be equally represented. Thanks!
