		<description>I have recently puchased A  MIC MATE USB Mic pre amp and 48V mic interface just like the MICPORTPRO,However I can"t figure out how to get it to record in pro tools 7.4 it does not show up in my input choices only
analog inputs, ADAT and SPIF show up in my input window if anyone knows

		<description>Really nice and thorough review!  Thanks for the mention.  I am glad I could help.  I saw someone using the Snowball on Ustream and the audio was really good on the live stream.  I know what you mean about wanting a volume control.  For those that want plug and play for simple use, I really love this mic.

Great article. I have been using the Blue Snowball microphone for the past year in my elementary classroom and have liked the results. Its ease of use makes it very appealing, especially if you are having your elementary students handle it (carefully) to create podcasts.
