Comment: When a student first sent this to me, I laughed like crazy. Here is a fellow (classically trained) playing the guitar and ranting about why he hates Pachelbel’s Canon in D. He provides a great presentation of other genre tunes that have “stolen” the chords and ends up in a tirade of emotional ranting at the end-well scripted!

This video made me laugh a lot when I first saw it; it’s a pungent point about modern music though.

Wonderful. Saw it on YouTube a while ago and laughed myself crazy. Taught students in school on that piece and they being middle schoolers, always asked to play “Taco Bell’s Canon”! They even made up words to the tune, referring to Taco Bell. They loved the piece and will probably never forget it. The Cellists were fine with it…they didn’t have to read the music!
This guy, fellow Pennsylvanian (or at least a student there?) has a great sense of humour. Kudos for the laughs to musicians and non musicians, alike!
