I have recently become enlightened to a great new customizable search engine: [tag]Rollyo[/tag]. With Rollyo you can choose which sites you want to search and save those sites in an easily retrievable “Roll”. You can choose how many sites you want to [tag]search[/tag] and you can choose to keep your “rolls” private or make them available to the public.
No doubt, this is the next evolution in web searching. Rollyo is obviously making a big splash with the general public as they already have quite a few “high rollers” already making Rollyo custom searches, including:
- [tag]Debra Messing[/tag]
- [tag]Arianna Huffington[/tag]
- [tag]Diane Von Furstenberg[/tag]
- [tag]Jeff Jarvis[/tag]
- [tag]Gina Pell[/tag]
Check out my Rollyo site here. http://www.rollyo.com/pisanojm
From [tag]Rollyo[/tag]:
Are you tired of wading though thousands of irrelevant search results to get to the information you want? Ever wish you could narrow your search to sites you already know and trust? With Rollyo, you can easily create your own custom search engines - we call them Searchrolls - and explore, save, and personalize those created by others.
Rollyo also allows you search others “Rolls” by searching with “tags” and by names. You can see this type of “explorer” page here: http://rollyo.com/explore.html
The four main “explorer” categories are:
- Searchrolls of note
- Most popular
- Recently added
- High Rollers
I am impressed by Rollyo and it’s offerings. You may also see another version of the Rollyo search engine in my sidebar.
